Simon Pipkin is a fully qualified personal trainer and bio-signature practitioner he will be taking fitness sessions at Field Farm on a Monday and Wednesday evening from 5pm - 8pm for small groups of 2 - 4 people. In addition to structured fitness sessions especially catering for rider fitness, Simon will be offering free body analysis including a bio signature assessment and dietry advice. The price per person is £85 but they are 2 hour sessions and excellent!! Nigel Taylor Cross Country Clinics at Field Farm

Nigel Taylor held his first cross country clinic at Field Farm today - a fine spring day, sunshine and perfect conditions on the course. The day was a huge success, so much so that Nigel has agreed to conduct a second clinic at Field Farm on Thursday 22nd April 2010. Nigel Taylor Cross Country Clinic - Change of Date

Due to the current weather conditions and the effect of that snow and rain on the course, we have re-arranged the clinic for Tuesday 16th March. We are sorry to have to do this but your safety and enjoyment is always uppermost in our minds when organising events and clinics. Cross Country Training with Mark and Tanya Kyle

Due to the recent weather we have reluctantly decided to postpone our forthcoming Eventer Trials until the ground is of the standard required for competition.

However we are delighted to announce that we are hosting cross country training with Mark and Tanya Kyle on Tuesday 6th April 2010 (the day after Easter).

Mark is one of Ireland's most promising and talented riders who competed in the 2004 Athens Olympic games. Tanya (Mark's wife) also competes at International events and won the prestigious Le Lion d' Angers 3 day event in France.

Field Farm Cross Country is delighted to announce that 6 times Badminton winner and Olympic Team Silver Medallist, Lucinda Green will be running training sessions at Field Farm on Wednesday 19th May 2010. The training with Lucinda will be for 2 hours - an hour concentrating on technique followed by an hour of training on the cross country course.

Cross Country Course Makeover

The cross country course will be having a makeover this winter with the all weather landings and take-offs being improved. There will also be some exciting new fences going in designed and built by Joe Weller.

We also have plans for a new all weather 60m x 60m manege for show jumping situated within the cross country field.

We are in the process of ploughing up a perimeter track all around the farm which will be harrowed to provide a superb canter track which will be invaluable for horse fitness training.

Eventer Trials

As well as improving the facilities for riders to practice we are arranging two competitions to get ready for the 2010 event season. The competitions will expand on the format we adopted this year and include cross country jumping. So please make a note in your diary for the following dates for dressage, show jumping and cross country in a competition setting:

All tests will be ridden on established grassland and should be from memory.

Jumping classes will be judged on style and performance.

Conditions of Entry

1. Field Farm and the organisers are not responsible for any accident, injury, damage or loss to any horses, riders, owners or others persons or property however caused.

2. All persons competing do so at their own risk.

3. The judge’s decision is final.

4. Any objections should be made in writing within 30 minutes of the class finishing to the secretary, accompanied by a £10 deposit. This may be refunded if the objection is upheld.

5. Hard hats to a minimum standard of EN1384, PAS015 or ASTM F1163 to be worn at all times whilst mounted. Hats should be fastened and correctly adjusted. Failure to abide by this will result in elimination from the competition.

6. Any dogs should be kept on a non-extending lead at all times and be under complete control. If your dog fouls, it must be cleaned up immediately.

7. Please do not skip out lorries onto the car park. Skips will be provided around the parking area..

8. Horses and ponies must be over the age of 4 on the day of competition.

9. In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded.

10. Any competitor will be disqualified for dangerous riding or misuse of whips or spurs.
